SCAMPER Method

SCAMPER is a structured ideation checklist: Substitute, Combine, Adapt, Modify, Put to another use, Eliminate and Reverse or rearrange. AIM uses it after useful evidence exists so the system can create alternatives rather than simply generating more content.

S — Substitute

Replace a weak input, channel, audience assumption, offer, metric or activity.

C — Combine

Join complementary evidence, channels, messages, audiences or proven network learnings.

A — Adapt

Reuse a successful pattern from another relevant context while preserving the new objective.

M — Modify

Change scale, timing, format, proposition, sequence or measurement to create a different test.

P — Put to another use

Apply an existing asset, audience insight or campaign learning to a different useful purpose.

E — Eliminate

Remove friction, low-value activity, unnecessary outputs or metrics that do not contribute to the objective.

R — Reverse / rearrange

Reverse the journey, sequence, assumption or production logic to expose a new hypothesis.

SCAMPER in the AIM Network

The Hub can receive a structured campaign evaluation, compare it with approved shared knowledge and store the resulting SCAMPER candidates with the evaluation. Those candidates are not automatically presented as proven strategy. They become ideas to review, adopt and test.

Generate alternatives. Then measure them.

SCAMPER is the idea-improvement layer. AIM Campaigns and the Integrated Evaluation Loop provide the evidence layer needed to decide whether an alternative was actually useful.
